Herbert P. Baum

Herbert P. Baum
President & Owner
Born in Bavaria and educated in Munich, Germany, Herbert P. Baum founded Southwest Florida-based Michelangelo Homes in 2004. Mr. Baum’s inspiration to start the company came from his passion for creating beautiful environments.

Mr. Baum is also the founder of Sunrise Yachts, Ltd., a high-end mega-yacht building company headquartered on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in Turkey. Sunrise builds luxury motor and sailing yachts in lengths between 150 to 200 feet.

In addition, Mr. Baum is the co-founder and chairman of several international businesses including the ITG group of companies: one of the leading international logistic and transportation solution providers in Europe. He is also involved in financing, building, and operating multi-million dollar commercial real estate properties.

Mr. Baum splits his time between two continents, but is active in the design, sales and marketing of each Michelangelo Homes model.

Gabriele Baum

Executive Vice President, Customer Relations & Services
Born in Bavaria and raised and educated in Munich, Germany as well as her husband Herbert Gabi learned her profession as a department manager at Dresdner Bank AG, Frankfurt and after twelve years joined her husband in the ITG-group of international companies.

Gabi loves animals and plants and dedicates most of her little leisure time to her comprehensive collection of rare orchids. She represents an important link between our clients and the operation of Michelangelo Homes. She consults our customers in various matters in the design process, floor-plans as well as all kind of landscape issues. She plays a vital role to make the building process for our customers a most enjoyable experience.

Tim Oak

Vice President, Operation & Construction
As vice president of Michelangelo Homes LLC, Tim Oak brings over twenty-five years of homebuilding experience. Before joining the Michelangelo Homes team, Tim Oak worked with both public and private homebuilding companies; this includes his last position of senior vice president of Florida Homebuilding and Tower for WCI Communities. Currently, Tim Oak holds a Florida General Contractor's License, as well as a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Management from Florida Southern College and a Master's of Business Management from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Stephen Wolfson

Stephen Wolfson
Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Mr. Wolfson heads up Michelangelo’s general marketing and sales initiatives. Prior to becoming a member of the Michelanglo Homes team, Mr. Wolfson ran his own business as a senior executive management coach. He has been a senior executive at Tarragon, WCI Communities, Lennar Homes, and Coscan.

With over 35 years of residential sales/marketing and motivational training experience throughout Florida and states along the northeastern seaboard, Steve has managed teams that have marketed and sold over $10 billion in residential real estate. His track record includes the marketing of 30 story luxury towers, master planned golf & country club communities, custom homes, marina communities, in-fill communities, mid-rise, townhouse and villas. Past responsibilities have included successfully managing over 70 multiple neighborhood master planned communities at one time, and directing the daily sales & marketing operations for some of the most notable public and privately held developers in the US.

Elke Wahls

Manager of Finance & Investor Relations
A native of Germany, Elke Wahls is the Manager of Finance & Investor Relations for Michelangelo Homes. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Ms. Wahls is responsible for financial matters for the owners of the company including accounting and bookkeeping. Since 2006, Ms. Wahls has played a pivotal role in helping Michelangelo Homes' expansion as a home builder.

Ms. Wahls owned and operated her own consulting company in Germany for 12 years before moving to the United States in 2001. Ms. Wahls’ educational background is in human resources, banking, and bookkeeping. Her experience ranges from the production of financial reports to supervising upper management.
